Submit Additional Documents

If you were admitted based on unofficial transcripts, or transcripts that did not show your final grades and graduation, you will need to provide final official documents.

When do I need to submit additional documents?

If the documents you provided to WVU were unofficial, you need to provide official documents.

Unofficial documents are uploads, emails with no means of authentication, or any other document that could not be verified.

Official documents are original or certified copies. Your school should be able to provide you with an original transcript that either they can ship to us, or they can prepare for you in a sealed envelope, which you can ship to us. However, if your school issued only one original document and you have that document, you may take your original document to your school or some other official who is authorized to make certified copies of documents, to make a certified copy that you can then send to us. Then you can keep the original.

Certified copies need to have the stamp, seal and/or signature of the office that is attesting to its authenticity.

If the documents you provided to WVU did not have final grades, or did not show successful completion of secondary education, then you need to provide final documents.

If your education system requires a national exam (e.g., KCSE, SSC/HSC) to attend university, you need to provide the official results of that exam.

How do I submit documents?

By mail

Please have your original or certified copies of your original final transcripts and/or diploma mailed or shipped to us (by DHL, UPS or FedEx). Our mailing address is:
